DeleteI think Jermaine made it more because he seems like a likeable guy, though he does have a good voice (I just think he's going to have problems when it comes to some genre theme weeks).
Erika, while not my favorite, was the right choice given who was left and what they did the previous night. And, I personally think, she beat out Jen cause she picked songs that suited her voice... Jen didn't.
My biggest complaint of the night is DeAndre being in the top 13 and not Reed. Other than that, I think the best made it through (or at least the best out of what they had).

Deletejermaine is likeable but so is aaron, chase and god forbid eben. you can't argue that they can't sing as well as jermaine. in fact aaron can sing circles around jermaine.
who'll buy jermaines album?? he doesnt even have a chance of winning idol.
Aaron is forgettable. When Ryan called him up to tell him if he made it, I couldn't remember him at all until they showed a clip from Tuesday night.
DeleteChase is also pretty forgettable. I didn't think he stood out at all. In fact, I think someone said that last night (Jimmy maybe).
Eben... well, he wasn't very good. I personally don't even understand why he was in the top 24. The only thing he had going for him was the Bieber thing.
You're partially right about Jermaine. I don't think he has a chance of winning. However, he stands out (and not just because he's 17 feet tall) and he evokes emotion from the audience when he sings. As I said before though, I don't see him lasting very long.
