American Idol 10: Top 12 Results Show

Karen "Myspace Contestant" Rodriguez. Yes, at one point in the competition, I honestly felt like she is my refuge from the melismatic overkill from nearly all the other girls. I mean, her voice sounds so clear and pure that I actually didn't mind her as a possible finalists just before their first live performance. Then, Hero happened complete with a Spanish verse and everything completely changed. Really. Song choice is a b*tch, and that gave me an impression that she's clueless. No, she didn't sound bad, but that performance came off to me as more of a gimmick than anything else. Sadly, she was unable to redeem herself as she became duller every week. Oh well.

Now, as for some observations and comments on the results show..
  • Ok. The editing this year is a bit lame compared to last year. At least in Season 9, it made me believe that they are the best bunch EVER - or did they do that on purpose just because it was a crapfest last year. HAHA.
  • Wow. Seriously? I really enjoyed this week’s group performance. It felt very Glee. MASHUP!
  • The video package with all the contestants made me realize that they all have interesting personalities. Casey is an avid moonwalker. Haley can do other accents. Pia is gorgeous. Scoty is hysterical. And yes, Lauren is annoying.
  • Lee DeWyze! Yes, you still have a personality of an oyster, but you sounded great! Everything in tune! Haha. Oh, and Beautiful Like You has always been one of my favorite songs on his album, Live It Up. Buy it guys! Haha 
  • Why am I not surprised that it's another all female Bottom 3? Sigh.
  • So, Fergie is about to show these girls how real and true pitchiness is done! 
  • Wait, Fergie's face looks different..
  • I am so tired of the Black Eyes Peas. Sorry. Though I will admit that this song doesn’t cause me as much pain as that stupid Time of My Life song. 
  • How I wish I could vote off the Black Eyed Peas instead.

    Smarla: Sadly, American Idol demo has always been teen girls to fraeun, that's why guys always win the show since Season 7.

    Smarla: I know! That's why I wasn't (somehow) expecting her to leave this early, although I don't really like her. Haha.

    fergies face DOES look different. i wasnt really paying attention to the BEP performance, but when i did look over to the TV, i caught a look at fergie and did a double take. i was like....is...that...fergie?? why does she look so...different? i then had to google her picture just to confirm that i wasnt just imagining what i thought she looked like. its like a different person altogether! wonder what she did to her face...

    Yeah, I love Lee's Beautiful Like You. Good thing they chose that.

    Lauren simply proved in that video that she's a bitch and annoying as hell. We can already smell that diva attitude if ever she wins (and I hope not).
