IDOL Tournament: Round 5 - David Archuleta VS Carrie Underwood

Idol Tournament is back and it's tougher than ever as there are only 8 Idols remaining for this round. I also changed my mind and instead of featuring their latest music videos, why not have a before and after makeove of them so that we could compare. Just for fun! And we start Round 5 with a pretty tough competition between David Archuleta and Carrie Underwood.

    By leaning forward, slightly flexing his left arm, and looking directly at the camera, David Archuleta is displaying complete confidence and ease with his casual look. However, he is a chameleon and can look equally at home in dressier attire as many of his red carpet photos attest to.

    Carrie is a beautiful young woman. However, these two pics of her don't show much of a change. She goes from curly big hair to smooth big hair!

    David has the fanatics to vote and win this kind of poll, so i won't be surprised if he wins this...but sadly they don't buy his albums, poor 2nd album sales...wonder why?

    Carrie also has huge fanbase, just ok type. But, they are truly loyal fans. Her albums are all PLATINUM.

    Both are my favorites

    Although I like the after pic of David, it is also a pretty old one. David has changed (matured) a lot even since then. The comment about not buying David's cd was a bit unfair. D's young fan base is masterful at NOT paying for music (entire last cd was leaked and FREE before release). Jive (now officially shut-down, NO surprise!), did NOT promo D's cd. And, as an Idol runner-up he does not get the guaranteed Idol winner promo. D Cook had HUGE promo and hasn't sold much more (67K vs 86K). BOTH cds are great and deserve more sales. btw, I also think Carrie is awesome. I'm going to vote for David but I expect Carrie to win this one and that's OK.

    David and Carrie are my 2 top favorites from American Idol. (Both of them can actually SING!) Very hard to choose...But I will check the box for Archuleta this time and hope the "underdog" prevails! (As for the huge sales difference between those two, I can only say that Country folks PAY for their artists music!)

    David just released a new Christmas CD and it's fantastic...and he's got a Christmas tour planned in a couple months...can't wait! His voice is unbelievable live in concert! I really like Carrie's music too...she's my favorite country artist!

    David is touring this Christmas. He is amazing live. His second album had a bunch of illegal downloads hence poor sales numbers but he has a huge following here and overseas. Can't wait to see him this December!

    Carrie! She has grown a lot! And Katheryn, there's a huge difference from the two Carrie pics, before she was chubby and uncomfortable on stage, now she's healthier/sexy and has confidence and commands the stage. Both idols are talented, it's a rough call, but it's Carrie all the way!

    If anyone would just watch Archie when he was on American Idol, and then watch him present day. There's a huge difference. He has a improved so much. He never uses a mic stand, and has more confidence. He's really matured, and his voice has really changed!!

    David has transformed a lot since AI. He still maintains a clean wholesome look only a little more confident look. He does fantastic tours and is a real performer.His Glad Tidings Christmas CD and DVD are wonderful.

    I call "shenanigans" on this whole battle. Archuleta beats Underwood???? Never in a million years. Most of the other votes have been right on, but I think this one is way off.
