.. and 11 are still standing! Ha. Shockingly, I actually think that this is the best batch of iTunes recording to date. Everyone sounds, obviously, great and this proves that they are one talented batch. Anyway, here are the recordings for this week with the music of Elton John.
RANDOM THOUGHTS: My favorites this week are Casey Abrams and Haley Reinhart. It's interesting because their live performances were also great. I find Casey Abrams' recording quite gorgeous - again without all those vocal affectations. Haley Reinhart's studio version is actually better compared to the live one. Her vocals are perfect and the everything sounds very modern. I also like Thia Megia's soothing version of Daniel and Pia Toscano's soaring vocals on Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me. Lauren Alaina and Paul McDonald have a good recordings as well. I didn't care much for Scotty McCreery, Stefano Langone and James Durbin though, for some reason.
Scotty McCreery: Country Comfort
Naima Adedapo: I'm Still Standing
Paul McDonald: Rocket Man
Pia Toscano: Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me
Stefano Langone: Tiny Dancer
Lauren Alaina: Candle In The Wind
James Durbin: Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting
Thia Megia: Daniel
Casey Abrams: Your Song
Jacob Lusk: Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word
Haley Reinhart: Bennie And The Jets
