Movie Review: 2 Guns

Better than expected. 2 Guns probably wouldn't surprise anyone with it's predictable and often convoluted story, but there's something about the movie that just worked - chemistry! Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg's chemistry was so immense and palpable, it elevated the film from being a run-of-the-mill action flick to something surprisingly entertaining. Wahlberg brought a comical levity that complemented Washington's drama chops and that made the film a fun to watch. The action set pieces were pretty basic, but good enough. 2 Guns was far from being revolutionary so don't go in expecting a clever plot or a script worthy of an Oscar, but this was a fun one and it did exactly what it's supposed to do: Entertain! 7
