RANDOM THOUGHTS: I have to say, I actually like most of these contestants' recording voices. To me, the real standouts are Jessica Sanchez, Hollie Cavanagh, and Erika Van Pelt. Their studio versions are pretty stellar. Jessica's a capella sounds divine, Hollie's recording voice has that crystal clear quality to it, and I'm obsessed with Erika's rich and deep tone. Elise Testone's recording isn't bad either and same with Skylar Laine. As for the guys, I like Heejun Han, Joshua Ledet and DeAndre Brackensick. There's something pretty jarring with Phillip Phillip's recording, but I guess his fans will eat it up - just not for me.

Colton is my favorite contestant, but I have to say my favorite studio recording this week is definitely DeAndre's. Wow, I've grown to like this kid. So long as he doesn't keep only doing high range stuff, I'm sure I'll keep liking him. He has a great voice if only he would lay off all the high notes. But yeah.. very impressed with his recording.
For the girls, my favorite is Skylar's. No reason in particular, she's just soo good.
Love the pics of the contestants, pretty much all of my favorites are on the bottom row! Just swap Elise with Skylar and that's my top 6. Haha.

Got the studio versions. Like to listen to the full thing before I buy. Couple I'll be passing on paying money for but some of these are just ridiculous, they're so good. AI will once again be parting me and my hard earned money. Worth it though - especially Phil, DeAndre and Jessica. Elise and Erika are also divine. I loved Shannon's studio version but hated the live performance. Glad I checked this out.
