Darren Criss (Blaine) and Harry Shum Jr. (Mike) have officially been upgraded to full-time series regulars, effective this fall with the start of Season 3.Such a shame! Sure, he was sidelined for a good number of episodes and only really got developed in Rumors, but that's primarily the fault of the writers and not Chord. Granted, they ran out of things to write for him, but they did seem to run out of things to write for the other characters and they haven't been cut. So what gives?
Heck, Sam's character even had more meaningful plotlines, episodes and character development in Season 2 than Mike, Tina and Mercedes.. possibly combined. I can't remember a single major plotline Mike or Tina got all year. I don't know why I'm shocked with this development. Maybe because I didn't see this one coming.
Oh, and whatever happened to the whole Mercedes thing with Sam? Lame. I will miss Sam, his corny impressions and, of course, the trouty mouth. Sads.
Any thoughts?

I was a little shocked when a friend told me about this. Syempre I had to go here for confirmation. Hahahaha.
But I feel happy for Darren and Harry Shum Jr. Especially Harry cause I think he worked really hard to be a series regular.

Right from the beginning I have this weird feeling that the only reason the producers picked up Chord is because of the Rocky Horror episode. It couldn't be just a coincidence that Chord heavily resembles Rocky from the original, hair and body and all. And now that they don't have any use of his character anymore, it's byebye for the actor.
Will: The thing is, they hired Chord just before the idea of Rocky Horror even existed. Based from reports before, Chord was cast as an eventual partner of Kurt. But when they saw that he actually had great chemistry with Quinn, they decided to write for them as partners.

Is there anything actually saying he won't appear in most episodes or is this just about how he hasn't been promoted to full time. I mean it took Harry 2 seasons to get it.
Also I read another article implying is was Chords choice, but I guess we'll find out.
