On with the show!
Kelsie May
You're Looking At Country
[TEAM BLAKE]
Solid tone with a steady grasp on pitch. I'm not sure if she's interesting enough to standout, but if Danielle Bradbery won with that personality, I don't see how that's going to be a problem for Kelsie. 6
Kimberly Nichole
Nutbush City Limits
[TEAM BLAKE]
This was pretty fierce! There's something striking and compelling about Kimberly. I thought her tone sounded interesting, the choices she made melodically were spot on, and a strong stage presence to boot. 7.5
Michael Leier
Last Kiss
[TEAM ADAM]
Was he forced to do this? While he had some good moments - especially towards the end - this was possibly the strangest Blind Auditions I've seen on this show. He looked bored. Haha. 4
Travis Ewing
Say My Name
[TEAM PHARRELL]
Gorgeous arrangement. Travis made a very smart move to arrange this Destiny's Child hit into something that will highlight his strengths as a vocalist from the lovely tone to the sparse grit to his voice down to his awesome phrasing. 7.5
Money On My Mind
Sonic
[TEAM CHRISTINA]
This was, for the most part, decent. She struggled with some of her notes in the verses and the sound of her voice sounded thin when she started hitting those high notes. 5
Jacob Rummel
Count On Me
[TEAM BLAKE]
Other than his surprising tone, there's nothing terribly exciting about Jacob. Maybe the hair? 5.5
Barry Minniefield
Me and Mrs Jones
[TEAM ADAM]
Not here for this. Sorry. 4.5
India Carney
New York State of Mind
[TEAM CHRISTINA]
Very nice. While her quick vibrato and runs were a bit too much, that's something she can fix overtime, but her voice just sounded stellar! Arguably one of the best blind auditions this season. 8
