Movie Review: Zero Dark Thirty
Zero Dark Thirty was a meticulously crafted film that's incredibly absorbing and compelling thanks to an impressive mix of superb direction, outstanding performances and an impeccably tight screenplay. Yes, the story seemed a bit labored and slow, but with a steady pace - a triumph also on editing - the plot grew gradually with a riveting intensity. The complete lack of political bias was refreshing and I loved the fact that the fantastic Jessica Chastain had no back story whatsoever. Plus, the last few sequences were handled exceptionally well. Zero Dark Thirty may not be for everyone, but I digress. It was a solid film with a perfect blend of drama and tension. 9
