Well, I don't think this will be as big as Crush, but it has radio hit potential. Sure, it's a little too overproduced with all the auto-tunes and whatnot but that's what works on pop music nowadays, so I'm not surprised. It is a catchy song, with great hook and incredible production. Oh, and the bridge took my by surprise. Seriously. I like that he uses his range in this song.
I'm not so sure if the track is bubblegum pop but this is right in the wheelhouse of the electronica/dance pop genre that is being played now - see: Ke$ha, Gaga, Lambert - and the biggest surprise is that David Archuleta is actually killing it.. Who would have thought? Haha.

Even as a devoted fan, I recognize that David has been somewhat hard to categorize. He has a mature sounding voice, and he excels at songs that showcase that. But, then, he’s 19 and young and he loves pop music, is a student of pop music, even if he does have diverse musical taste. There has always been a debate regarding pushing him towards a mature sound that some think fits his vocal abilities v. letting him mine his age and the opportunity that brings for youthful pop success and thereby letting that success enable longevity. I’m in the latter camp. I love to hear him sing anything. But practically speaking, he’s more marketable as a 19 year old pop singer of pop songs than a 19 year old singer trying to break into the adult contemporary genre
