Now, this track was actually announced to be Lee's first single after American Idol, but his record label, RCA, decided to change it to Sweet Serendipity the last minute. Color me surprised, but I think it was good call. While Live It Up is a nice song, I don't think it's the type of song that gets a lot of airplay compared to his actual single. This is more low key with less backing instrumentation. Yes, I think it's a pure authentic Lee song from the vocals down to the lyrics and production, but Sweet Serendipity is a much better choice for a lead single. Enjoy!
