Tonight's results show is almost a no-brainer! Heck, do I really need to write at least 7 words about it? Ok. Here: Casey James is going home, hands down!! Haha.
To me, Casey is a contestant who hasn't really stretched himself vocally and hasn't done much in his performances besides standing behind the microphone strumming his guitar. And if I had to explain why Casey will be eliminated in third place in one sentence it would be “Casey James is not a fighter.” Seriously. He's an incredible talent with lackluster ambition. I personally don't think he can break the pre-ordained Wyzersox Finale.
Personally, the only chance Casey had at making the Top 2 was to come out this week and fight tooth and nail and stop one of the two frontrunner’s momentum. He failed to do that. So, the end. Haha.
But seriously, barring from another Doolittle type of Top 3 shock elimination, there is no way Casey James will survive another week. His performance order alone from last night was a good indication that the producers want him out already. He performed first and based from my compiled American Idol History Fun Facts, the first performer has TYPICALLY been eliminated that same week: Nikki McKibbin (Season 1), Kimberly Locke (Season 2), Jasmine Trias (Season 3), Vonzell Solomon (Season 4), Elliott Yamin (Season 5), and Danny Gokey (Season 8). Only Jordin Sparks (Season 6) and David Archuleta (Season 7) survived this position.
Now, the other absolute thing - aside from Casey's exit - is that Lee Dewyze won't be going anywhere, which can make Crystal's fate on the show go both ways. I'm not counting on a Bowersox elimination though as it will be a travesty if she will be Doolittle'd tonight. Really.
If that happens though, it will only prove that Idol can never crown a girl to win this damn thing because women of a certain age are the only ones who vote hard and vote often. Sad but true.
Let's see though. I'm still hoping for a WYZERSOX Finale.
