The Sing-Off Season 2: Superstar Medley and Judges' Choice (Episode 4)

Wow. One more week and this show is done - meaning, we already have a winner. How come I don't want this series to end yet? Haha. Maybe it’s just really nice to see such a high caliber of talent.

I really have to say, this show really is seriously satisfying because you just dive into the music. The judges are probably the best I've seen in any reality talent competition with precise and detailed criticisms without being harsh. And although ditsy Nicole Scherzinger brings Paula Abdul to mind, she seems more down to earth and less icky. I do hope the American Idol people are taking notes here. By focusing on the music, the show has much more legitimacy.

Now, as for the contestant, I really love me some Sweet Corner Symphony. No, they didn't crush everyone this week but I'm still pulling for them to win this season. I'm just sad that On The Rocks had to leave this early and it seemed like a total cop out to me that the judges didn't eliminate a second group. They should've sent Jerry Lawson and Boredoms home. I mean, the group as shown ZERO versatility on the show. I bet they are too intimidated to cut Jerry Lawson's crew so they'll let America decide instead. Haha.

It's nice to see that there are Filipino followers of Sing-Off. BTW, I'm a real big Backbeats fun. I definitely fell for them when they did Fleetwood Mac's "Landslide". It's probably one of the best performances in the show.

Other than that, I also agree with you that Jerry Lawson & Talk of the Town should've been eliminated in this episode. This was the episode where it was quite obvious that it was their time to go.

Rene: Hi! Yes, it's nice to see that I'm not the only Filipino to actually appreciate this good - if a bit short - reality singing competition. And yes, The Backbeats' version of Landslide was amazing. I wouldn't mind them being the runner-up as long as SCS wins the show. Haha.

Hahaha! I have to agree, I'm a big SCS fan, too. And I think that they deserved to win. Although, we can't deny that Committed is a very talented bunch. In the end, I think that it just all goes down to preference. It's nice to have been able to discover your blog. I quite enjoy reading it -- especially the movie reviews and AI updates. Happy blogging, belated merry Christmas and an advanced Happy New Year! :D

P.S.
I realized that I had a gramaticaly wrong word in my first comment. LOL (OC, much). You could have been confused with the word "fun", which should've been "fan". LOL.
