There's no denying that Candice Glover indeed dominated the competition with solid performances week after week. She's been creative with her song choices and arrangements from Paula Abdul's Straight Up to Drake's Find Your Love and even Emeli Sande's Next To Me. She also gave some fantastic vocal performances of classic tunes like Somewhere and I (Who Have Nothing). But Candice's breakout performance was her flawless rendition of The Cure's Lovesong. Her American Idol run has been pretty stellar and possibly one of the most consistent finalists in the show's history.
Kree Harrison, on the other hand, fought hard in this head-to-head match up. She outperformed Candice a couple of times, but not enough to really dominate the season. Kree slightly has the momentum recently and she's clearly the underdog coming into the Finale, so I wouldn't count her out just yet.
As I've said before, this doesn't mean anything come Finale night. But, if it will be based on this scorecard, there's a clear choice to carry the title of American Idol. Whether or not that proves to be the case remains to be seen.. See you again on Tuesday!!
