Here we go!
08. Rough Copy
Hit The Road Jack
I just don't get it. Yes, they can sing, but they're just BLAND! They're not even interesting enough to be called Rough Copy. Sue me. 4
07. Sam Callahan
Ain't That A Kick In The Head
It's funny how he's now getting the less is more type of judging. Haha. This boy's a charmer, and I'll leave it at that. 4
06. Hannah Barrett
It's A Man's World
Since when was this song considered part of Big Band? I don't know. Her voice slipped in and out of a weird tone, and something just didn't feel right during this performance. 5
05. Luke Friend
Moondance
I've been loving his performances recently, but this one was a bit of a mixed bag for me. He started off well backed with an interesting warm tone, but the second half was a mess. He looked confident though. 5.5
04. Abi Alton
That's Life
There were moments where her voice sounded good on the song, but for the most part, her tone came off a tad too thin and she didn't have the resonance and groove to actually make this performance work. It wasn't terrible, but nothing special. 5.5
03. Nicholas McDonald
Dream A Little Dream
This was a pleasant rendition of the song. It's not particularly interesting - in fact, it was a bit boring - but he sounded great for the most part. 6
02. Tamera Foster
Cry Me A River
While I could still use a little more emotional connection from her, this was actually quite good. Nice modulation. Good vocals. Interesting arrangement. 7
01. Sam Bailey
New York New York
I admit, I was ready to hate this performance, but Sam actually pulled this one brilliantly. Her vocals were soared, her transitions were clean, her diction was awesome, and she added a much needed sass to performance that was quite compelling. 8.5
