IDOL Tournament: Results!

64 Idols. 60 head-to-head showdowns. More than 20,000 votes. Yes, after 5 long months, it all came down to this..

.. and the winner of the DAM NATION's First IDOL Tournament is DAVID..

NOTE: Just to be clear, since I've been getting lots of crap for not closing the tournament at Round 4. The tournament winner won Rounds 1,3,5,6 and 7. So closing the tournament at Round 4 would be strange right? Just saying.

Results after the jump!!

.. sorry to be too much of a Ryan Seacrest. Just click on the banner above to see the winner! Haha.

For the last time, if anyone's interested on how the matchups went on the DAM NATION Idol Tournament, click here to check out the entire 64-player bracket (then click again for a zoomed in view).

GREAT! David Archuleta is my all time favorite!!! <3 <3 <3

Actually David A. IS the best of the two David's. I liked them both, but in the end, David A's music and voice will have more longevity in the realm of music he predominantly chooses for his future. An amazing talent and only 20...amazing!

^^ We can argue all we want, but what your saying about longetivity and all that crap is total bull. He's not even signed to anything now. His music and voice = longevity? Why again did his second album flop? Yeah..... You always say its because of the lack of promotion. If he has the music and the voice, the heck with promotion. Fantards make me sick.

I'm not a fan of both but i'd rather see a Kelly versus Adam in this poll.

**Cough...Cough** David Cook's current album is a "flop" too, and that is with full backing and support from his label. David Archuleta's album was released on the heels of the folks he worked with leaving Jive and with David to follow even after having offers to re-sign. Now the label itself is defunct.

12:50: If you would have rather seen a Kelly vs. Adam poll, then you should have rallied their fans. They had their chances just like everyone else. David Archuleta beat Kelly and David Cook beat Adam fair and square, so stop your whining.

12:50, Anon,
Adam L is a fame whore who puts on more make-up than most of female celebrities. Just wanna be like GaGa, but lack of creative ability nor musical talent. At 30, he doesn't know how to play any musical instruments, so always depends on other music professionals. Still remember his loooong tongue when he kissed his boyfriend right to the camera. Ewww.

Season 7 was the best by far and both Davids are talented, but in my opinion David Archuleta is the most talented singer to have ever graced the American Idol stage. His virtuosity combined with an ability to shine in multiple musical formats is unmatched by any other contestant to date. Add in charm, good looks, youth, and the respect of many in the industry, and yes you have the formula for a long career. The thing is David Archuleta will do it his way. He will not be a sell-out and pimp himself for the sake of success. Artistic integrity and musical quality will always come before "popularity" for David, and he has stated as much on many occasions.

JUSTICEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!! The right David won this silly little poll, but it's sweet all the same. Cook has pretty much flopped in sales and on radio with his 2nd CD, is having problems selling out small venues OR GETTING ANYONE OUTSIDE IDOL LAND to give him the time of day. Not a good look for a recent winner is it? One who's fans were crowing had 'broke Idol' - LMAO, right. All the mud and dirt and nasty his fans slung at David A is coming back home to them. Not so smug and arrogant now, huh Cook fans, after seeing your guy flop. Maybe you'll be a little kinder and nicer now, since what you were throwing around at David A. is coming right back around to you. Loving every minute of it.

Yea! for David A. and congrats to David Cook for coming in second. Both fan groups are devoted. Let's celebrate! Season 7 for the WIN!!

I love BOTH Cook and David A. Cook is a wonderful guy with loads of personality and I REALLY enjoyed him (flailed) in concert. But when it comes to talent there is no comparison to David A. At David's concert I was transported to another world (omg!!), he's THAT good live. I am going to DA's christmas tour this dec because I want to experience that awesomeness (he commands the stage these days!) again (and have you seen his new CD/DVD with the Motab??? -WOW!).
I do feel that DA's talent and chosen musical pathway lends him to a long successful career. I hope Cookie can keep up :)

The fact that this wasn't Carrie vs Kelly was laughable. But David Archuleta?? The best person to ever be on American Idol? What a joke...his whole career has been a flop!

8:25: His whole career a flop? What an idiot you are. I would elucidate you with information that completely contradicts your nonsensical comment, but frankly you are not worth wasting my time on. However, I will tell you that if you live in North America and have your television tuned to NBC on Sunday, Nov. 27, you will be in danger of seeing this so-called "flop" featured on national television. Oh, and he will also be all over PBS in the coming weeks as the headliner for the annual Mormon Tabernacle Choir Christmas Concert. You'd better be careful now.

Love both David's but David Archuleta is and always will be my favorite Idol!! Season 7 was my favorite season ever! David Archuleta is only 20 and has a great and long career ahead of him! David Cook also has a great career ahead of him.

You just argued that his career wasn't a flop by stating that he will headline PBS's Mormon Tabernacle Choir Christmas Concert....

7:06 AM: I'm attempting to understand the meaning of your statement. Either you are dissing one of the world's leading choirs, or you fail to understand the term "headline." For your edification from merriam-webster.com:

headline: to be engaged as a leading performer in (a show)

From dictionary.com:

headline: to publicize, feature, or star

The cover of the DVD for the program clearly says, "featuring David Archuleta."

If you think being the youngest performer ever invited to join the choir for its annual special is so unworthy, then perhaps the fact he is launching his solo tour "My Kind of Christmas" in just a couple of days might satisfy.
