Movie Review: Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs 2

Pleasant, albeit not entirely remarkable. Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs 2 was an entertaining sequel and children will probably find the characters appealing, but the film in itself wasn't memorable enough to stand out as a big achievement in film making. It was just that - a fun, enjoyable animated film. I thought the metaphors disguised with wild antics and much mayhem was still present, and I actually liked that the film still didn't take itself too seriously. The animation was still very bright and flashy, and the mood remained quirky and light-hearted. Sure, the storyline was a tad thin, but at least it was easily understandable, and the voice acting was actually pretty good. Not sure if Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs 2 was better than its predecessor, but it's charming and cute enough to be seen. 7
