Let's who how the contestants did.
Jonny Gray VS Shawn Smith
Refugee
TEAM CEE LO
I honestly LOVED Jonny during his audition, but while this was a little underwhelming in parts - he sounded thin when he tried to hit his high notes - his take was actually a lot more compelling with his gorgeous tone than Shawn, who despite being a capable singer sounded generic. It's as if I heard his voice before somewhere else. This was an easy call.

Preston Pohl VS Barry Black
I Wish It Would Rain
TEAM ADAM
As much as I enjoyed both of them on this performance, Preston has this throwback soulful tone that's quite magnificent. His vocal dynamics was stellar, and Barry, to be fair, gave him a good fight. It sucked that no one made a steal for Barry.

Olivia Henken VS Stephanie Anne Johnson
Done
TEAM CHRISTINA
At first, I thought, do we really need another Carrie Underwood look a like? But while this song choice was obviously a bit of an unfair advantage for Olivia, she actually made a good case for herself. That's not to say Stephanie was bad because for someone who was out of her comfort zone, her take was actually good - minus, some minor tuning issues.

Stephanie Anne Johnson (Team Cee Lo)
----Wow. And with all the buzz surrounding Holly Henry, they just montaged her? I didn't see that one coming.

Oh please, there's always conspiracy and manipulation on these shows.
They showed all 6 of Christina's battles and montaged 3 of Blake's. They had Blake's chair malfunction that one night of Blind Auditions. And they montaged Holly's battle, who was the only 4 chair turn on Blake's team.
I thought I was watching American Idol for a second there.
